Merry Christmas!

Just thought I would type up a quick post while Adriana's busy playing with all of her new things! Yesterday we received a call around 7 in the morning from one of my aunt's (one of my dad's sisters) with news that one of her sons (my cousin Jeremy) had died the night before. He's struggled with depression, which leads him to drink (making everything worse)...he was drunk and went down to the basement and hung a cord and apparently was going to just "scare his wife" (I'm not really sure what he had planned on doing though)...but he passed out and choked to death and his parents found him on his knees and tried to revive him, but he was already gone. His wife was pregnant and they had a 7 year old son. Please keep his wife and family in your prayers...My dad's flying up tomorrow morning and the funeral is Thursday.

Despite Christmas Eve's sad news, we had a good Christmas today and Adriana had a lot of fun opening presents! Sam's family came over for lunch and we just hung around the house all afternoon :) It was nice and relaxing and I am definitely enjoying my break and am not looking forward to going back to classes :( My mom leaves for my grandparent's down in Sebring on Thursday, so it will just be me and Adri for a couple days - and Sam starts his new job tomorrow! Well, Adri's getting into trouble, pulling ornaments off the Christmas tree.... I hope everyone had a good Christmas! :)
